Kronendal 1713
Kronendal 1713 is a historic bar and restaurant set on the oldest estate in Hout Bay. We bring together heritage, atmosphere, and contemporary African hospitality in a space designed for long lunches, easy dinners, and the kind of social energy that makes people stay a little longer.
We are not a formal dining room and we are not a typical pub. Kronendal 1713 sits comfortably in between, offering a warm, polished experience that still feels natural and unforced. Good service, great food, proper beer, and a venue that’s as much about the moment as the menu.
How We Run
We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and do not take regular reservations, keeping the atmosphere spontaneous and accessible. For private events, special occasions, or groups of 15 or more, reservations can be arranged upon request.
We are open daily from 12:00 PM to late. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we are open until 12:00 AM, and on the remaining days until 11:00 PM. Our kitchen closes at 9:00 PM daily.
