{"id":7338,"date":"2024-07-04T15:19:03","date_gmt":"2024-07-04T13:19:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sareit.co.za\/?p=7338"},"modified":"2024-07-04T15:19:03","modified_gmt":"2024-07-04T13:19:03","slug":"hyp-pre-close-operational-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/muddev.co.za\/sareit\/hyp-pre-close-operational-update\/","title":{"rendered":"HYP &#8211; Pre-close-operational-update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Further to the publication of Hyprop\u2019s interim results for the six months ended 31 December 2023 (\u201cHY2024\u201d) on 13 March 2024, the Company hereby provides an operational update for the five months ended 31 May 2024 (\u201cthe period\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Progress continues to be made in achieving the Group\u2019s key priorities for FY2024 set out in the HY2024 interim results. In line with our strategic objectives, the acquisition of Table Bay Mall was implemented on 28 March 2024, increasing the Group\u2019s exposure and footprint in the Western Cape, and internal approvals have been obtained to expand Somerset Mall by an additional 5 400m2 of GLA. The risks associated with the Group\u2019s investments in Nigeria remain elevated, however, progress is being made with the disposal of the Group\u2019s investments in sub-Saharan Africa (\u201cSSA\u201d), as noted below.<br \/>\nThe Group\u2019s operational performance continued to improve steadily over the period, with all portfolios showing improvements in key trading metrics.
