Neuro-based Teaching Methodologies

MiniChess Club classes are a structured programme offered face-to-face after school hours, typically aligned with mathematics and or entrepreneurship. The programme spans five developmental levels, from Start Smart (4 to 5 year olds) to Level 3 (up to 11 year olds), fostering critical thinking, problem-solving and core STEM development. MiniChess Clubs meet weekly.

Overview

Parents register their child or children for weekly online MiniChess classes of around 30 minutes per week on our dedicated MC platform. Parents and students are introduced to the MC platform in advance. Children are trained in the MiniChess programme from age 4 up to 10 or 11. Students receive a learner kit, workbooks and accreditation certificates after completing each level.

*Note: For younger age groups, it is advisable for a parent to accompany their child during the weekly online MiniChess class and support homework and projects.

The weekly MiniChess classes are presented over 5 Levels:

  • Start Smart level (4 to 5 years old)
  • Level R (6 to 7 years old)
  • MiniChess Levels 1, 2 and 3 (7 to 12 years old)

Process Forward

After getting in touch with us, the relevant information and registration form will be emailed to the parent, based on area or location, time zone, language preference and the learner’s MiniChess level. Once we have received the completed registration form, the dedicated MiniChess teacher will contact the parent to finalise all practical arrangements so the learner’s classes can begin.

*MiniChess students become members of the Start Smart Entrepreneurs Club.

If you would like to choose the blended learning option, which includes physical and writing materials alongside digital tools (tablets, computers, etc.), please contact us for a consultation.

Hybrid Learning MiniChess offers a mix of in-person and online classes, so learners can train at school and continue at home without losing momentum. In-school sessions focus on hands-on coaching, group play, and guided practice, while online lessons reinforce the same concepts with live coaching, drills, and game reviews. This keeps progress steady even when families travel, schools close, or schedules change.
