Our Story

The Entrust Foundation was established in 2016 with a clear mission, to create meaningful and lasting impact through education, life skills development and youth empowerment. From the beginning, the foundation has brought together experienced trustees and trusted implementation partners to help address real challenges facing children, young people and underserved communities.

Its work is rooted in the belief that long-term change begins with people. By investing in learners, supporting youth development and strengthening local communities, The Entrust Foundation aims to create pathways to opportunity that reach far beyond the classroom.

What We Stand For

The Entrust Foundation exists to help build stronger futures through practical, relevant and accessible development. The organisation focuses on empowering children and young people with the skills, support and opportunities they need to grow with confidence and contribute meaningfully to society.

At the heart of this work is a commitment to human capacity building, community upliftment and sustainable impact. Rather than offering short-term intervention alone, the foundation is focused on creating opportunities that lead to long-term personal growth, employability and stronger communities.

Our Purpose

The primary objective of The Entrust Foundation is to create and sustain long-term benefits in disadvantaged communities through two parallel focus areas. The first is education and life skills development during the critically important early years. The second is youth empowerment and community employment, helping young people develop the skills and opportunities needed to build better futures for themselves and others.

Our Approach

The Entrust Foundation uses a community-based model that is designed to create impact from within. By working with local youth as implementation partners, the foundation is able to increase cultural relevance, overcome language barriers and deliver programmes in ways that are more meaningful and sustainable within each community.

This approach is about more than programme delivery. It is about identifying potential, building capability and equipping people within communities to become leaders, implementers and business owners in their own right. In doing so, The Entrust Foundation helps create local ownership, stronger delivery and wider reach.

“Creating Long-Term Impact

Where It Matters Most”

Youth Empowerment
in Action

A key part of The Entrust Foundation’s work is its focus on youth employability and entrepreneurship. Through its in-community scaling model, the foundation scouts local talent and provides training, mentorship and structured support to help young people establish sustainable opportunities for themselves.

This includes a three-year intern development plan, ongoing mentorship, monthly remuneration linked to programme reach, and support towards building independent micro-franchise businesses. Successful participants are equipped not only to deliver quality programmes, but also to build a future with ownership, dignity and long-term potential.
