No visitors unless by prior arrangement. We are not unreasonable, chat to us!
No pets – not that we’re not pet-friendly, but we have small dogs in the main house and they get very excited when other animals are around.
Children and beds: Cot and extra bed policies. There is no capacity for cots and/or extra beds at Cowrie Cottage.
Us! We do not accept house parties, events or anything of the sort at Cowrie Cottage. We are located residentially & would like to ensure the peace and quiet of the permanent residents.
Luckily, for our night life lovers, Cowrie Cottage is centrally located to Town & Beachfront, where you can enjoy yourself.
No smoking in the cottage. There is a designated smoking area in your enclosed patio.
Parking only in the designated visitor’s parking bay (in front of the grey wall) – please do not block the garage doors.
No “vagrant” bookings – we’re a holiday accommodation for business travelers. We do not accept bookings from those who cannot secure permanent accommodation and use establishments such as ours as a temporary address.
The minimum age for check-in is 18 & of course to have the best self-catering seaside cottage stay!
Refundable damage deposit. A damage deposit of ZAR 1000.00 is required on arrival. This will be collected as a cash payment. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full in cash, subject to an inspection of the property.

As a guest who has stayed there more than once – 10/10 would recommend. Place is private and spacious. The beach is a walking distance away. The bed is super comfortable, shower is a dream, everything you could need in the kitchen is there. Everything is neat and tidy.

Great Place. Neat and clean, equipped with everything modern and all that you could want. Ask for instructions on the coffee machine – it makes a delicious cup of coffee. Nice and quiet location, but close to Blouberg, if you looking for restaurants/night life. Fantastic hosts. It is our “Go To” place when booking for our team when going to Cape Town.

Nice and clean with good and professional service, however a braai area ( next to the outside table) would be an added advantage especially since it’s a self catering.

Everything about the property was spot on and the way the host Adam welcomed me and showed me around the property (cottage) so that I am comfortable and at ease during my stay. I will definitely come back and would highly recommend the cottage to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy their time in and around Sunset beach. The property is good value for money.
