BrainPlay Shipping Policy

1. BrainPlay is an online retailer and delivers nationwide via courier, door to door. The shipment is delivered to the address not the person. i.e. If the person is not available it can be left with anyone at that address e.g. security, staff, reception, etc.
2. BrainPlay does not deliver via the post office except by special request. Farms or rural areas will incur surcharges.
3. It is mandatory to leave a telephone or mobile number for the courier company to contact you during delivery hours.
4. All orders are sent packed in boxes or flyer bags.
5. Whilst every effort is made to pack your order carefully, BrainPlay is not liable for any damages incurred to goods in transit. Any losses must be reported to the courier company and if packages cannot be located for any reason, a claim must be lodged by the customer with the courier company. BrainPlay accepts no liability for any goods lost in transit.
6. The below categories are offered to you on checkout based on your area code. BrainPlay will from time to time offer promotional shipping rates, for example free delivery for certain products.
a. Gauteng Fastway Label (Brown, Yellow and Lime)
b. Outside Gauteng / Main Metro Fastway Label (Red & Orange)
c. Grey Zone

7. BrainPlay reserves the right to amend shipping costs at any time in line with any increase from the courier company.
8. Shipping costs are calculated as follows:
Note: Some items that are heavier or larger than the standard weight or volumetric weight, may carry additional delivery fees. These additional fees are included in the shipping cost upon checkout. Additional shipping volumetric costs are broken down below:

Delivery

• Please allow for 1 working day for collections.
• Delivery time is based on delivery address for each order from when proof payment is received, Gauteng 1-2 working days, Red Zone (see Fastway for areas) 1-3 working days, Orange (Western Cape/Eastern Cape) 2-4 working days, Grey 2-5 working days
• Should a package not be delivered through no fault of Fastway (e.g. no-one on premises/unable to answer calls/invalid or incomplete address), Fastway will attempt a second delivery. If this is still unsuccessful, Fastway will attempt to contact you via phone/mobile to arrange delivery. If Fastway is unable to reach you, the order will be returned to our warehouse and checked back into stock. You will be refunded the amount for the products excluding the original delivery fee and a handling charge of 15%.

Special Orders

Orders for larger volumes or items not currently in stock can be arranged. Please contact BrainPlay via email or telephone.

Returns

If you’re not happy with your order and wish to return any items BrainPlay will refund all orders returned within 15 business days. BrainPlay aims to process all refunds within 14 working days from arrival of returned goods. A handling fee equal to 15% of the total value of returns processed maybe be imposed subject to the nature of the return and is at the discretion of management.
Shipping and Handling
Shipping and restocking charges are not refundable, unless an order has arrived damaged, faulty, or is the incorrect product.

The Not-So-Fine Print:

Return requests will be approved at the discretion of BrainPlay.
Products will not be eligible for return if they have been partially or entirely disassembled, physically altered, permanently installed, affixed, attached, joined or added to, blended or combined with, or embedded within, other goods or property. This includes products that have been worn or damaged.
Products removed from their packaging and returned without packaging will not be refunded
Please note that items arriving after the 5 working day return deadline will not be accepted and will be returned to sender.

Incorrect/Damaged/Faulty
In the case of incorrect/damaged/faulty – exchanges or replacements are the responsibility of BrainPlay and the relevant supplier. Please notify us of the incorrect/damaged/faulty within 48 hours of receipt of the product.
